I first bought this performance by Kissin in laser disc format years ago and have been anxiously waiting for a DVD release because I don't use laser disc player anymore. Needless to say I am so pleased that I can watch and listen to this magical performance of some of the most beautiful tunes written for piano by 19 year old Kissin. Without exaggeration, this perferomance by Kissin is a truly special one. The playing was so refrshingly innocent, tender, cristal clear, technically perfect, and always with beautiful singing lines. I believe no one else can play these repertoires better than Kissin at that age. The video was superb, perfectly catching Kissin's unique playing style and his youthful expression; and the audio recording was excellent. Anyone who loves piano music, or I would say music in general, should watch this DVD at least once. I myself have watched it numerous times so far.
